ABOUT THE FARM
Moonrose Farm was started by partners Melissa Denmark & Jordan Goldsmith. They began growing vegetables and flowers on Jordan's family property in Dartmouth, MA in Fall of 2015.
The two provided vegetables, herbs, and cut flowers to the community of Dartmouth at the Padanaram Farmers Market with the help of friends and family.
In 2016 Moonrose became a part of Hurricane Hill Farm's new project. Moonrose moved to Natick Ave in Cranston, RI and leased 3 acres alongside other beginning farm businesses.
In 2019 Jordan and Melissa found a permanent home in Rehoboth, MA on just over 7 acres right on the Palmer river. They added a flock of 65 chickens to their family and started preparing the dormant crop fields for cultivation beginning in 2020.
In 2020 amidst a global pandemic, Moonrose opened a farm stand on the new Rehoboth property and sold produce, eggs, and flowers to their neighbors, offering a safe place to shop and access to fresh healthy foods.
OUR MISSION
Moonrose Farm harmonizes feeding the land and feeding the people. Our mission is to raise chemical-free food for our community while stewarding the land we farm. We foster nurturing relationships with our neighbors based on education, health, and unity.
We honor the seasons and celebrate every crop. Each sprout, berry and grain is thoughtfully raised, harvested and shared.
Our land is cared for with future generations in mind. Seeds are saved year after year, repopulating loving memories and traditions. We hold our morals firmly in our hearts and aim to be a landmark for our community.
