Moonrose Farm is a woman-owned, chemical-free farm located in Rehoboth, MA. We specialize in cultivating vegetables for our CSA program, farm stand, and local restaurants, as well as growing cut flowers for weddings, events, and retail bouquets. Our on-farm bakery offers artisanal baked goods, and our farm stand provides a variety of chemical-free produce, pasture-raised eggs, organic garden plants, and seasonal delights.

We’ve been steadily putting the farm to bed for the fall & winter. Planting garlic and tulips, cleaning up perennials, trying to save the salad and spinach from bunnies and prepping for colder temps.

We are continuing our food drive for the next two weekends- thank you for all who donated! The Rehoboth food pantry picked up the first round of donations already. We have printed shopping lists to take with you to the grocery store if you could pick up a few things on sale.

P.s. we’ve been posting less these days- It’s been hard for me (Jordan) to be on Instagram lately- instead I’ve been trying to work on home & craft projects to occupy my time. Rest assured we are chugging along IRL 🫶

The seasons change, the flowers in the field frost and wrinkle, the leaves cascading like golden glitter over the farm. The last wedding of the season was for Sarah + Kevin in Boston, filled with the rich reds of maple leaves, the glowing hues of autumn sunshine, and a pop of the bright jewel tones inspired by the surprising green-to-pink color changes of the meadow grasses post-frost.

We absolutely love designing for our clients, especially when they trust us to take inspiration from the exact moment of the season. We stroll the fields the morning of our events to harvest the last handfuls of special ingredients that ensure our designs represent the farm.

Snapshots from an incredible summer harvest day in late August. Tomatoes are finally HERE in a way that feels punishing but remarkably rewarding. Our outdoor crop is dry-farmed (non-irrigated) this year, lending its success during the drought to our soil’s high water table, our raised beds, and soil fertility.

We’ve been busy as bees getting the fields planted just in time for the abundance to arrive! Squash, zucchini, cucumbers, tomatoes, cabbages, eggplant and carrots are coming in this week with the first peppers coming soon. The garlic crop came in before the rain hit on Tuesday, thankfully got it all tucked away and drying down before any signs of mold set in. Overall the crop looks like a good size with some big heads to save for seed.

Thanks so much to our crew of staff and work shares who braved several days of brutal heat and humidity to keep the farm on track so we can all eat really well this season. We enjoyed some cold plunges at lunch as well as plenty of popsicles.

So thankful for a cool day of rain to get the tunnels tidied up, tomatoes trellised, cherry tomatoes contained (for now), and greenhouse cucumber succession #3 in the ground.

🤩 WOW! We're deeply grateful for the incredible turnout at our pride party! Thanks to everyone who came out to the @hopestreetmarket and the farm store this weekend, helping us raise funds for @southernequality's Trans Youth Emergency Project through our bake sale, rainbow boutonnières, and pride party donations. We're honored to have met so many new friends and to have shared in the celebration of PRIDE with all of you! Our farm pride parade was a heartwarming display of smiles, dancing, and joy - just what we've always wanted to embody on our farm. The joy of living your life authentically with a heart full of love and acceptance is all we could ever want.

Life goal achieved - make a flower rainbow for guests to walk under!
We were proud to flower for the MA LGBTQ Bar association annual party for the second year in a row! We had strict flower requirements as the event was held at the New England Aquarium and for the animals safety we had a short list of approved varieties so we worked with imported product- something we aren’t used to which made it feel like an art project. For mechanics we made a moss tube and soaked it- a floral foam free design technique we were experimenting with. Busy April on the farm! We’re thrilled to welcome two new team members, India and Juliana 🌟 Returning rockstar Mabel has been holding it down—keeping our daily chores in check and showing the new crew the ropes.

We kicked things off with a big clean-up: we picked up trash on Mason St with Keep Rehoboth Beautiful and spruced up the farm. We repaired old tools, planted spring crops, and got deep into greenhouse seeding.
